Admire the panoramic views of mountain canyons and forest landscape, in search of the SEMANART- protected American Bushtit, the elusive Wild Turkey, among others.
Approximately 70 different bird species live across our 2,100 hectare of semi-desert wilderness.
In fact a recent preliminary wildlife survey conducted by the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ) found that over 80% of all vertebrates on the ranch were birds!

STARGAZING
The night sky at 2,400 meters (~7,900 feet) above sea level at Rancho El Carrizal is absolutely incredible! No local light pollution and generally clear skies in the semi-desert environment with over 300 days of sunshine each year.
What to bring
Your telescope, warm clothes, a flashlight, portable chairs (for your comfort), and anything else you might need to enjoy your experience.
